Elle Marie announces Elle-gant Gowns prom dress drive

Elle Marie Hair Studio organizes annual prom dress drive making it easier for young ladies to enjoy a night of dreams

Are old prom, homecoming and tolo dresses taking up space in your closet? Elle Marie Hair Studio can help! Now through April 14th, Elle Marie is collecting dresses for distribution to various schools throughout Snohomish County. To show their appreciation, the salon is offering $10 in Elle Marie Beauty Bucks to each guest that makes a donation.

“Every young lady deserves the chance to go to a formal dance and feel beautiful without having to worry about the money they might not have for the dress!” says Alderwood Studio Coordinator Brooke Undseth. “If we help even one of those ladies, it is worth it in the end.”

The idea came about when the City of Mill Creek contacted Elle Marie about their upcoming Prom Fair. The first annual free event is open to the public April 24th from 6-7:30pm at Jackson High School. It features vendors such as hair salons, florists and tuxedo rental shops. Elle Marie owner, Colleen Buck, loved the idea and went further indicating that one thing she has always wanted to do is sponsor a dress drive. “Every year we sponsor the City of Mill Creek’s Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt.” says Buck. “Now, with Elle-gant Gowns, we have another great way to support area youth this time of year – one that is right in line with who we are.” In addition to Jackson High School, dresses will also be made available to students at other local schools as well.

Dresses can be delivered to any of the three Elle Marie locations. For addresses and hours, visit https://www.ellemariehairstudio.com or call your nearest salon in Mill Creek (425-402-1900), Lake Stevens (425-397-8883) or Lynnwood across from the Alderwood Mall (425-640-6555).
