After thoughtful consideration, we have made the decision to close our Mill Creek Elle Marie Hair Studio. This was not a decision we made lightly and was ultimately based on the long-term sustainability of that specific location.
We are deeply grateful that our Mill Creek team members have chosen to continue their careers with Elle Marie. The stylists you know, and trust will remain with the company and will continue caring for their guests at our other locations.
Our goal is to make this transition clear, smooth, and supportive for both our guests and our team. Most stylist transitions will take place by the end of April, with the Mill Creek salon officially closing in early May. Guests are always welcome to call the salon directly and will also receive personalized email communication with details about their stylist’s new home location, each just a short drive away.
Mill Creek stylists will primarily be relocating to three nearby Elle Marie salon locations:
Downtown Woodinville – 8 miles (about 20 minutes)
Lynnwood (164th St.) – 4 miles (about 10 minutes)
Midtown Snohomish – 12 miles (about 20 minutes)
Our hope is that you will continue your hair journey with us. The relationship between a guest and their hairstylist is meaningful and personal, and one we never take lightly. Like our stylists, we understand that our guests have options too, and we are forever grateful for the trust you place in us. Our team is here to help make this transition feel easy, clear, and seamless for everyone involved.
Transitions like this naturally invite reflection. This specific salon represents the very beginning of the Elle Marie story- a place where vision, risk, community, and opportunity came together to shape who we are today.
As we look back, this moment feels especially bittersweet. This August will mark 20 years since we first opened our doors. From the beginning, we believed hairstylists deserved a place to grow and develop their craft within a sustainable, career-driven salon environment. We also knew many hairstylists were looking for opportunities closer to home, where they could build meaningful careers while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
At the same time, we saw a need in the Mill Creek community for a salon experience that combined the warmth and familiarity of a trusted local business with the elevated level of education, artistry, and service often found in more urban settings. With that vision, we chose Mill Creek as the home of our very first Elle Marie Hair Studio.
We took a leap of faith when we opened our doors in 2006, and the Mill Creek community embraced us with open arms.
Over the years, we have shared so much life together. From community festivals and fundraisers to weddings, birthday celebrations, baby showers, retreats, symposiums, and countless everyday appointments that turned into lasting relationships, this salon has been filled with connection, creativity, and growth.
Our Mill Creek location became our hub, the foundation of what would grow into a company that is now a trusted part of communities throughout Snohomish County. It is truly where the Elle Marie Hair Studio story began.
We are forever grateful to the guests who trusted us, the team members who built their careers within these walls, and the community that allowed us to grow. While we are closing the doors to our flagship location, we are deeply thankful that Elle Marie Hair Studio continues to thrive.
Thank you, Mill Creek, for being part of our journey. We can’t wait to connect with you at your new salon home.
With heartfelt gratitude,
